This illustration was inspired by Delacroix’s painting “Liberty Leading the People” and is designed as a heroic statue, the women forming a triangle.
The woman on the far left with her arm outstretched is looking back, acknowledging the women who paved the way before us, while the woman on the top right is looking towards the future. Each woman is supported by another and positioned in a power pose, creating a strong base for others to rise. The girl in front is Kristen Visbal’s “Fearless Girl” statue on Wall Street, representing the younger generation who will lead fearlessly. And finally, the wolves! A nod to the book “The Women Who Run With Wolves”, which taught me about the power we all carry within us.
